RSWM starts its commercial operations at Rs 182 cr Kanya Kheri plant at Bhilwara

New Delhi, June 10, 2015: Textile-to-power conglomerate LNJ Bhilwara Group owned RSWM today announced the successful commencement of its commercial production at its new Kanya Kheri plant in Rajasthan’s Bhilwara district. With an investment of Rs 182 crore, the plant will give jobs to 750 people and add 5,400 tonnes yarn per year to the existing capacity of 1.37 lakh tonnes per year.
 
Mr Riju Jhunjhunwala, MD, RSWM, said, “We are pleased to announce the strategic expansion of RSWM with the launch of Kanya Kheri plant, which help us scale up our production capacity and help in our export commitments. What is good, this will also help to create job opportunities for locals.”
 
The plant will also help RSWM to earn annual revenue of Rs 180 crore from its production of cotton and cotton blended melange yarn.
 
Mr SC Garg, CEO, Melange Yarn, RSWM said, “The new plant in Rajasthan has an installed capacity of 25,920 spindles. The state-of-the-art infrastructure is 64 metres wide and with this plant at Kanya Kheri, RSWM will now have a total capacity of 5.05 lakh spindles.”
 
RSWM produces all types of spun yarn which is sold in domestic and international markets. Additionally, it has 154 looms and produces 17 million meter polyester viscose blended suiting’s annually which is marketed under the brand Mayur Suitings. It also produces denim fabrics on 86 looms with annual production of 16 million meters. It has captive 46 MW Thermal Power plants which gives uninterrupted power to its 8 manufacturing locations. The company has undertaken a focused programme to increase operational efficiency for increasing its bottom line.
 
RSWM supplies its yarns to Raymonds, Uco Denim, D' Decor, Arvind Ltd, Siyaram Silk Mills Ltd, Welspun Group, Alok Industries and many more prestigious companies.
