Godrej Industries honoured for Outstanding Export Performance in 2015-16

Mumbai, 27^th March 2017: Godrej Industries (Chemicals) has bagged the prestigious ‘Award of Excellency’ for its Outstanding Export Performance in the year 2015-16 under the Panel – III category that comprises Cosmetics, Soaps, Toiletries and Essential Oils – (LSM).
GIL manufactures oleochemicals, derivatives and surfactants. The company markets over 100 chemicals for use in the home care, personal care, pharmaceuticals and food industries. It is expanding its reach globally and the products are exported all over the world.
 
The award was presented to Mr N S Nabar, Executive Director and President, Godrej Industries Limited (Chemicals) by Hon’ble Minister of State for Commerce & Industry (Independent Charge). Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, at a spectacular event held yesterday in Mumbai.
Talking about this coveted award, Mr N S Nabar, Executive Director and President, Godrej Industries Limited (Chemicals) said, “The award is a testimony of our efforts in pursuing novel technologies and enhancing global customer satisfaction. The company’s export performance also reflects the global reach of our products manufactured in India and the ‘Make in India’ pride. It paves the way to expand our global presence further with the inclusion of innovative derivatives in our portfolio.” 
GIL has been consistently recognised for outstanding export performance in the year 2014-15 (‘Trishul Award’) and in the year 2013-14 and 2011-12 (Gold Award). It has also been recognised by All India Liquid Bulk Importers & Exporters Association with a Special Award for the Top performer in Liquid Bulk Trade – (2014).
