Designed to perfection these machines are of an octagonal shape and are compact in size compared to ''V'' and double cone blenders. Moreover, these are high in demand in the global market owing to its less power consumption, low-speed blending and well balance in higher capacities. 

The OCTAGONAL BLENDER is an efficient and versatile blending machine for the mixing and lubrication process of dry granules homogeneously. Two third of the volume of the Cone Blender is filled to ensure proper mixing. The Octagonal Blender Machine gives the best result for granules due to the container’s prolonged speed and octagon shape. It can be used for Pharmaceutical, Food, Chemical, and Cosmetic products, etc.

In pharmaceutical Octagonal Blender, the granules come from all sides due to the product container’s octagonal shape; hence, RPM’s requirement is less. Suitable mainly for Crystalline & Granular type material. This type of material gets sufficient continuous movement due to their shape if containers have only slow motion and will result in adequate quality blending/lubrication of granules.

Octagonal Blender, due to its octagonal shape is designed to process larger volume of material. It occupies less space compared to other similar blenders like ‘V’ and Double Cone. 

Power consumption is also less. The blending takes place at low speed during operation. It is well balanced even in higher capacities. It is very useful for pharmaceutical industries wherein gentle blending of dry granules of powder is to be done. It is a slow speed blender and has removable type baffles mounted on a rectangular shell.

The important feature of the machine is easy to wash in place. Octagonal blender is supplied with a bin charging system or can be designed for vacuum charging. Dust free charging system is also incorporated, which is a completely closed system for charging and discharging of powders or granules. 

The power consumption is comparatively lower than other similar type of blenders. The machine basically consists of shell welded with conical Octagonal shape ends and supported with sturdy supports on both side. 

The right hand side shaft is connected to a standard gearbox by means of chain and sprockets, which in turn is coupled to an electric motor. The whole drive assembly is covered with S.S. side panel. The inside portion of Octa body is mirror polished and the outside surface of Octa body; frame & guards are matt polished. The material to be mixed is charged in machine either manually from top or bin charging system or vacuum charging system and then the port is locked positively. Then blender is started to preset blending time. At the end of process, machine is stopped and the product is transferred to process containers by opening the butterfly value.

Impellers: At the bottom of the dome shaped stainless steel bowl Impellers are fixed with two half-length blades and two full length blades. This impeller helps you to break the wet mass into small pieces and granules.

Chopper: Chopper has very sharp small blades which are specially designed to cut the wet lumps of material into very small parts which are then mixed by impellers. It is located at bottom of the dome and the size of the granules is totally depends on the speed of the chopper.

Discharge Port: Discharge port is used to unload the container filled with granules. It is located at the bottom of the dome. Opening of discharge port is operated by pneumatic cylinder, a compressed air regulated cylinder.

Mounting : A hard M.S. channel has been used to keep the drive assembly at the bottom. Stainless steel staircase and railings are provided for the platform with a bowl mounted on the top. Half of the platform has been covered by S.S. and dimpled Plates.

Ribbon Mixer Blender Machine

The ribbon mixer blender machine is composed of a U-shaped container, a spiral ribbon mixing blade and a transmission part.

Construction of Tray Dryer:

It consists of a chamber whose wall is insulated by thick glass wool or suitable heat insulating material. Inside the chamber, there are various trays on which wet materials are placed. The number of trays depends on the size of the chamber. For laboratory purposes, a minimum of 3 trays is required. There should be an appropriate distance between the upper, middle, and lower tray. The dryer is also attached to the provision of free: air inlet and air outlet. The fan in the dryer is used to circulate air over the material placed in trays. The heater is also provided inside to facilitate uniform heating. The door of the heater is explosion-proof and is locked with the help of spring-loaded ball latches with suitable pressure. Door lips are having a Neoprene rubber gasket to prevent leakages.

Working of Tray Dryer:

Wet material is spread into trays and placed into the chamber. The doors are closed. The air is introduced through an inlet and heater air heated up. Hot air is circulated by Tan over the tray. There should be uniform airflow otherwise proper drying will not be achieved. Even baffles are used to distribute the air uniformly over the trays. Some moist air is continuously vented through the outlet. The fresh air enters through the inlet. The water evaporates from the interior of the solid due to hot air. In the end, trays are removed from the chamber and dried material is collected.

Advantages of Tray Dryer:

Tray Dryer is the most conventional dryer used very widely and still being used where the moisture content is more and where the product has to be dried at low temperature for long hours.

It is a batch process and can also be used where the quantity of material is less.

In the tray dryers, the handling of the materials can be done without losses.

The batch sizes in the pharmaceutical industry are relatively small 250 kg or less per batch compared with the chemical industry 1000 kg or more per hour.

Fluid Bed Processor
The Fluid Bed technology achieves constant and reproducible product quality while ensuring a gentle process in short process times. Processes ranging from powdery materials to free-flowing materials can be carried out as well as the drying of moist products (e.g. moist granulates).

Powders, granulates, and other shapes can be coated in this system too. During the process, heated air-in defined quantity and speed – continuously flows through the special design of the perforated sheet into the product vessel. The product starts to fluidize and can be moistened by means of an alternity spray nozzle and granulated, depending on the application.

Tangential spray nozzles in the area of the bottom (underfeed) or a Wruster system are used for coating pellets. Integrated filters selected according to the process and product – hold back the powder particles in the processor. The particles are retained in the process by continuous filter cleaning.
